How to split an audio file

Choose your fileChoose an MP3, WAV or other audio file. The waveform appears with the cuts drawn as white lines and the parts numbered.
Choose where to cutSplit every so many seconds, into equal parts, at the silences (useful for a recording with several songs), or click the waveform to add or remove a cut.
Check the partsThe line under the waveform tells you how many parts you will get. Change the settings until you like the result.
Split and downloadPress Split. Download each part on its own, or all of them in a ZIP file.

Use WAV for exact, gapless cuts: MP3 files always add a tiny silence at the start and end of each part. If you only need one piece of a file, the Audio Cutter is quicker. You can split into up to 500 parts.
